Just so we all have a clear understanding....
| Course Arrival |
|---|
| Trainees should arrive promptly to begin training. With respect to CBT courses, training will begin at the designated start time, If a trainee arrives late and the training session has begun, that trainee will have to rebook at a suitable time and any deposit will be lost. |
| Eyesight |
|---|
| All trainees will be subject to an eye test prior to the training. Legally, you should be able to read a car number plate from a distance of 20 metres. Therefore, if you need to wear correctvie lenses, please ensure you bring them to training. |
| Training Vehicles |
|---|
| Trainees will be provided with appropriate vehicles to complete the training. However, should an instructor consider the trainee to be incapable of safely operating the vehicle after reasonable attempts at success, the trainee may be offered a different vehicle to train on. In this case, the trainee will have the opportunity to continue training on the replacement vehicle. If the trainee doesn't want to continue training, this will be regarded as voluntary termination of the training. Trainees may, ofcourse, utilise their own motorcycle. If that option is taken, there will be no effect to cost of training and the trainee must ensure that their vehicle meets all of the legal requirements to be ridden on the public highway - MoT (where required) , insurance, tax and legal L-Plates displayed. Should the instructor have doubt as to the roadworthiness of the vehicle, training/test will be cancelled without refund. |
| Protective Equipement |
|---|
| Although trainees may borrow some protective equipement from the school - Crash helmets, Jackets, Boots & Gloves -, we recommend that these items are purchased, personally, by tainees. In the interests of safety, trainees must wear, at a minimum, denim trousers and sturdy boots while training. |
| Evidence of entitlement | |
|---|---|
| CBT | Driver licence showing provisional entitlement to ride either AM or A category vehicles (dependent on age) |
| Mod1 Test | Driver licence DL196 (CBT Certificate) Theory test completion certificate |
| Mod2 Test | Driver licence Mod1 Test Certificate |
| Deposits & cancellation of training | |
|---|---|
| Deposits will be payable for all training and shoul | |
| CBT | Deposits for CBT courses should be paid within 7 days of the course. Otherwise the training slot will be reallocated to another trainee. Cancellation of CBT courses, within 4 working days of the course, will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Any cancelation prior to that will see deposit refunded as this allows sufficient time to repopulate the CBT course. |
| Pre-test / Post-test Training | Deposits for training sessions should be paid at the previous session. Cancellation of these training sessions, within 24 hours, will result in forfeiture of the deposit. |
| Personal Safety |
|---|
| Riding motorcycles has inherent dangers. Although we will, ofcourse, do everything reasonably possible to ensure the safety of trainees, trainees also have responsibiliy for their well being. Trainees should seek to be well rested prior to attendance for training. Throughout training, trainees should assess their own ability to continue training and take any remedial action required. This includes making sure that approriate medication is administered, adequate food, drink and rest, etc. Ofcourse, any use of alcohol or unprescribed drugs will not be tolerated in the training facility Trainees who feel unable to continue training should make their instructor aware immediately. Instructors will seek to encourage throughout the training sessions but will not apply pressure - you are responsible for any decisions that you make while training. |
| Responsibilty and Liability |
|---|
| Trainees are responsible for behaving safely and legaly while training. |
| We will hold no liability for loss or damage to personal property, physical injury or death unless such loss or injury is due to our failure to perform our obligations under general law. |
| We have obtained and maintain all insurances required by law. |
