Frequently asked questions
If your question isn't answered below, please feel free to call. The only silly questions are those that go unasked.
What time does the CBT start?
Trainees should arrive by 8:45 a.m. for an 9:00 a.m. start on the day of training unless otherwise agreed. (also see T&Cs)
How long does the CBT take?
Be prepared to be with us for a full working day. However, depending on various factors, trainees may complete the training earlier.
What should I wear?
Be appropriately clothed for riding a training vehicle in the prevailing weather. (also see T&Cs)
What happens if I don't complete the CBT in the first day?
If CBT isn't completed within the, initial, allocated day, a mutually convenient time will be arranged to complete the training. This may incur additional costs, to cover instructor time, dependant on the circumstances.
What can I do to prepare for the CBT?
The CBT is designed to ensure trainees can practice, safely on the road while preparing to pass a DVSA test. Trainees should prepare for the CBT by being conversant with the Highway Code as the detail in that publication is not part of the CBT.
Will I be training alone?
Usually, there will be two trainees completing CBT at the same time. If you have special requirements, you can call to discuss but this may, of course, have additional cost implications.
